Has there ever been a time when you stopped heeding your excuses and opted for adventure? Whether it’s a career, debt, fear, perceived physical limitations, family or society’s expectations, or another self-limiting story, we want to know about the time you decided to stop letting excuses run your life. Up to four winning submissions will receive a $25 REI e-Gift Card and will be featured on The Trek.

Email your inspirational adventure story here. Submissions should be between 200 and 500 words, and photos are more than welcome. Your story should highlight your excuse, when you decided to stop listening to your excuses, and the payoff. The deadline to submit stories is February 15th, 2018. Up to four stories will win a $25 e-Gift Card from REI and will be shared here as a feature on The Trek.
