No, such a simple word. But in this case, just say NO. Do not buy anything from this company. They have a rapacious appetite for suing and absorbing small – even cottage industry – retailers and manufacturers who chose to use the word Backcountry in their company name. They have taken legal action against dozens of companies, either forcing them to change their name, or even cease operations entirely.

In recent months, as a result of social action by a Facebook group – Boycott BackcountryDOTcom – Backcountry has gotten rid of it’s litigious partners and law firms, and said that they have seen the light and will no longer sue smaller companies. But there is no real evidence that such a change has occurred.

So I ask all of you to protect the small cottage industries dedicated to producing highly innovative outdoor equipment, and the retailers making those pieces of equipment available by refusing to buy from Backcountry. Patronize your local retailers or buy directly from these manufacturers. Just say NO to Backcountry’s swinish business model and show them that by being so greedy to own market share, they bite off their nose to spite their face. BOYCOTT BACKCOUNTRY.COM

For your sake, I hope what you wrote is true. The character you paint of your nemesis suggests they would sue you for libel if you couldn’t prove what you said. And it sounds like you’d get a legal fight even if it were.
