Howdy! Love your photo atop my favorite summit at Yosemite. Went there with friend, late September 1980. View down to Half Dome incredible.
We drove from San Francisco late and arrived at shore of Lk Tenaya to March through willows for a lakeside sleep. Instead, I walked into a bear fleeing campers set up without protecting camp from bears! Next day we took trail to 1000
Island Lake, just east of Yosemite.

Ansel Adam’s Wilderness, just north of Minarets. And at foot of Ritter. Gorgeous place.
Have backpacked most of Washington Cascades and Olympics. And must include Ansel Adam’s Wilderness among the finest places I have seen.
