This Is Me
Where to start, I guess birth. As the youngest of four, I was born and raised on a gravel road in Iowa. After 24ish years I trekked (see what I did there!) up north to land in Minneapolis where I currently reside. A few of my many hobbies outside of the obvious hiking/backpacking, are volleyball, reading (anything from straight literary trash to classics like Thoreau’s Walden to scouring the internet/borderline obsessing over gear reviews), traveling, and trying to never say no to a new experience. I am venturing back to the Superior Hiking Trail this summer to check off more section hikes. More importantly, though, I am venturing to one of the least visited national parks, Isle Royale. As this is the most repeat visited national park, I couldn’t resist the urge to hike the entire length of the island in the middle of Lake Superior. Here’s to the stories that come along the way as I try out new gear and explore the unknown. Cheers!
