ATC

Abbreviation for Appalachian Trail Conservancy, the organization that oversees maintanance of, conservation on, and advocacy for the preservation of the Appalachian Trail. The headquarters in Harpers Ferry is also often referred to as “the ATC.”

Outside the ATC headquarters in Harpers Ferry, WV.

Example: “I cried when I got to the ATC because I couldn’t believe I was already in Harpers Ferry.”
