Why we love Arizona!
I would 100% pack up and move to Arizona in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for the heat. Arizona is absolutely beautiful and full of nature, culture, and history.
We visited Saquaro National Park, Montezuma Castle National Monument, Casa Granda National Monument, the South rim of Grand Canyon National Park, Petrified Forst National Park, Tonto National Monument, Wapatki National Monument, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, and Walnut Canyon National Monument.
We also went to the Besh-Ba-Gowah museum, which was incredible.
Saguaro National Park
I was touched and deeply moved by the Saquaro cacti all over Tucson.
We hiked the Wild Dog trail after going to the visitor center and talking to a ranger.
I didn’t want to leave Saguaro. I was amazed. I was in awe. All the cacti took my breath away.
The movie we watched at the visitor center resonated with me. I am a Saguaro. The Saguaro is me. It is a reflection of myself. We love the Saguaro, so we should love ourselves. You wouldn’t hurt a Saguaro, so why would you be harsh to yourself?
Looking at the Saguaro, I see myself looking back.
Photos don’t do them justice. You just can’t see the massive amount of Saguaro cacti in the fields. From a distance, they look so huggable until you get close to them.
Photos cannot truly capture how amazing these cacti are or how many there really are. Also, note that Tech Bear is 6ft 5in tall. That’s a tall cactus!
We had a wonderful day of hiking in Saguaro National Park. When we finished, we went to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. It was an outdoor museum with animals.
We went back to Saguaro National Park for sunrise one day before heading to Sedona.
Besh-Ba-Gowah
We went to Besh-Ba-Gowah Museum. It was amazing! An absolute must-see!

Wupatki Pueblo
We started our day with a drive through Sunset Crater Volcano. There was still a lot of snow up on the mountains as we approached the road from Flagstaff.
We decided to start at the Wupatki visitor center and visit the Pueblo before looking around the museum. Back to the car for a quick drive to wukoki Pueblo trail.
Up on a rock. Secret petroglyph off the side of the far wall. Went inside Pueblo
Drove down to citadel and nalakihu trail.
Visited the lomaki and box canyon pueblos. Hiked around the pueblos and went inside them.
