We’re looking for a select few charismatic, knowledgeable, experienced backpackers to be the face of The Trek’s YouTube channel. The ideal candidate has at minimum a few thousand miles under their hipbelt (or fanny pack), has a smartphone or comparable quality camera, feels comfortable in front of a camera, and a larger than life passion for the trail!

With a YouTube following of over 30,000 subscribers, we are committed to sharing authentic experiences, expert advice, and fostering a vibrant community of outdoor enthusiasts.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and seasoned individual to fill the role of YouTube Personality. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive background in long-distance backpacking, particularly in gear expertise, and should exude confidence in front of the camera.
– Work with The Trek’s editors to create video content for The Trek’s YouTube channel, aligning with our mission to inspire others to hit the trail.
– Leverage your backpacking experience to engage, educate, and motivate our audience, sharing insights, tips, and stories from your journeys.
– Extensive backpacking experience, ideally a minimum of several thousand miles.
– Comprehensive knowledge of backpacking essentials, gear, techniques, and trail culture.
– Comfortable and charismatic on camera, with an ability to create a genuine connection with viewers.
– Access to your own smartphone or equivalent video recording equipment with comparable or superior quality.
– Self-motivated with excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines.
– Strong passion for the outdoors, hiking, and inspiring others to embark on their own journeys.
