Hello My name is Barbara. I live in the Midwest but, spend time in Southwest Florida because of the trails. I retired the end of 2016 and now plan to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. I taught school for a number of years and retired from the military after serving 23 years. I am a vegan and I'll make an effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle on the trail. My other passions include photography, gardening and herbalism.
