Hi! I'm Liz, but for the next several months I'll be going by my trail name, Overkill. I grew up in Texas and moved to Maryland a few years ago. I fell in love with hiking a couple years ago, so you could say I'm still a rookie. I'm starting my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail from Springer in later March. My hope is that these little articles will share the beauty and challenges of the AT with my family and friends both new and old. Follow along and take bets on how many times I'll fall!
