Hi! I’m Marty - 70+ at the start of this little enterprise on the AT. I’ve enjoyed blogs from other through-hikers and gained a lot from their thoughts on The Trek. Truly, they have provided part of the inspiration to finally start this adventure after 50 years. Why bother reading my blog? Perhaps the insights and viewpoints of an older hiker, maybe a chance at armchair travel with pictures, or just a chance to reflect on a thought of gratitude that I hope to provide each day. I dearly hope to provide an update every few days. Thanks for joining me on the ride! (I might not be great about responding to comments but I WILL read them.)
