Hi there! My name is Max "PocketSnacks" Hitchcock. My pronouns are they/them/theirs. After a traumatic brain injury rattled my plans to pursue a professional career, I discovered thru-hiking. I know just how deeply healing spending time in nature can be. Trail is home and thru-hiking has given me a sense of empowerment no other experience has. I have completed the Appalachian Trail (nobo 2021), The Colorado Trail (nobo 2022), and the Lone Star Hiking Trail (webo 2023). When I am not planning my next adventure you can find me hanging out with my two cats, poking about the wilderness with my partner, climbing indoor rocks, making art, or reading. I will be hiking the Ozark Highlands Trail in its entirety this April 2024.
