Hi there! My name is Max "PocketSnacks" Hitchcock. My pronouns are they/them/theirs. After a traumatic brain injury rattled my plans to pursue a professional career, I discovered thru-hiking. I know just how deeply healing spending time in nature can be. Trail is home and thru-hiking has given me a sense of empowerment no other experience has.I have completed the Appalachian Trail (nobo 2021), The Colorado Trail (nobo 2022), and the Lone Star Hiking Trail (webo 2023).When I am not planning my next adventure you can find me hanging out with my two cats, poking about the wilderness with my partner, climbing indoor rocks, making art, or reading.I will be hiking the Ozark Highlands Trail in its entirety this April 2024.
