Well hello there friends! My name is Tyler and unless I get attacked by a bear or any large animal, I'm gonna thru-hike the PCT in 2018. I was born near the great trail town of Ashland, Oregon and knew of the great migration of the hiker trash in July and August. However, I didn't have my first experience with a thru-hiker till 2015. My goal was to hike Mount Shasta before I turned 18 and in August of 2015 I got my chance. I met one of the dirt-baggiest but raddest friends on that trip: Toast. He put the idea in my head to thru-hike myself and so 2018 will be my year. When I'm not cuddling my pups or training for the trail I work at a rock climbing gym and am finishing my degree.
