I am a 68 year old retired teacher living in Kalamazoo, Michigan with my husband and two dogs. I love to hike and I love to camp, as does my husband. Over the years, we have hiked many, many trails here in the United States as well as trails in England, Ireland and Scotland. This April, we will be heading out to hike the 2,185 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. My husband has already accomplished this twice, but it will be my first time. Our adventure will take us about 6 months.
