The quilt shown here is a pre-production model. Production model may differ.

Quilt Shape

We took our queue for the shape of the RENEGADE Pro Series Quilts from the human form. Using a combination of advanced pleating and darting we created a quilt shaped to match the shape of your body. You’re not shaped like a rectangle or trapezoid so why should your quilt be any different. Starting at the foot box the quilt contours up to your waist. Then staying at it widest width we continue up to your shoulders providing amply room before additional contouring provides for a snug fit around your neck when needed. All 20*F and 0*F include a draft collar at the neck closure to ensure a snug fit on the coldest of nights. This contoured shape of the RENEGADE Pro Series Quilts provides for an exceptional fit and an unmatched level of comfort.

Shell Construction

We use our illume15 DWR .9/oz fabrics on all our RENEGADE Pro Series Quilts for both the inner and outer shell. The illume15 DWR is an excellent choice for its Ultralight weight, outstanding durability, and superior DWR finish all while providing high breathability. Illume15 DWR has been tested by IFDL for use with down filled equipment and provided exceptional results. Each vertical down chamber is constructed using an Ultralight .7oz Nano mesh baffle between the chambers to allow for maximum loft. This also provides for thermal convection between the chambers as well as the vertical design of the chambers allows for thermal convection between your core and extremities. Inner shell chamber size varies from 3-4” resulting in much less down shifting as a result of larger chamber profiles used by other manufacturers. The inner and outer shells also have different differentials or fabric widths if you will. Why is this important? For full loft of your down the inner and outer shells need to be different sizes. This provides for proper loft of your quilt regardless of sleeping position. This results in an exceptional fit and warmth for the RENEGADE Pro Series of quilts. The foot box of the RENEGADE Pro Series is available in two styles either a Snap and Draw or Flat Sewn. The Snap and Draw provided maximum versatility allowing you to lay the quilt out full open, create a partially closed foot box for venting to match the ambient temperatures to your preferences, or fully closed for colder weather use. The Flat Sewn foot box provides maximum warmth but at the sacrifice for the versatility of the Snap and Draw foot box.

Illume15 Fabric

A high performance light weight fabric made to our specifications. Using a 15 denier nylon thread a true rip stop pattern is woven into illume15 resulting in an exceptional strong fabric for its weight. illume15 has a Durable Water Repellant finish applied to the face side of the fabric to protect you and your down from environmental moisture.illume15 retains a high level of breathability to allow your body moisture to pass through your quilts to prevent excessive condensation inside the down chamber. illume15 has excellent color depth resulting is a rich luxurious look and feel to your quilt. Lighter colors will tend to some down through fabrics. There are lighter fabrics available on the market, as with all things in life you have to give to get. We use our illume15 as it is the best balance between durability, down proof, weather resistance, and weight. All of these are critical to the long term survival of you and your gear on the trail. Independently tested by International Down & Feather Laboratories using the International Rotating Box Method.

HyperDRY850GGD

Our RENEGADE Pro Series Quilts all feature HyperDRY850GGD for lighter weights and superior performance in severe conditions. The combination of the our illume15 DWR shell material and our HyperDRY850GGD down means your quilt will be protected from moisture related issues and retain its loft much better than other quilts using untreated down fill.

PAD ATTACHEMENT

Our RENEGADE Pro Series Quilts comes with a removable pad attachment system to secure your quilt the way you prefer to your pad. For hammock users, warm weather use and those that sleep like the dead you can remove the system completely leaving it at home.
