Why Are 3 Septuagenarians Walking the Camino

Why we are Walking

Well, we can, because we have stayed active since our 20’s.  Just because one trek is over don’t stop walking.

A walk with friends is also great, we tell stories, we help each other over a hard patch, encouraging to keep on climbing up the mountains.

And playing dice. Dice is normally our evening entertainment; dice has been on nearly every outdoors trip since the late 70’s. From bivouac to mountain tops, on river trips, and The Feast!
Dice Rules.

We walk to meet new people, new experiences.

You don’t have to walk 1,000 miles in one go. Start by walking to a destination instead of a car, you will observe new things and experience it differently (Don’t walk on the interstate!)

OK, to be fair, only Dave and I are in our 70’s, Sandy is 67 and he is catching up, and Phillip (Dave’s son is 41)

Just keep on walking.
