[Insert Exclamatory Greeting Here!] I hail from the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western NC, and I've always been an outdoor enthusiast. I started working for my local state park (Shoutout Gorges SP) when I was 17 and truly fell in love with the outdoor world beyond the fact that it was beautiful. I marked turtles and went on rescues, I was able to chat with tons of incredible people from various outdoor fields as they came through the park, and overall it was just a really great growing experience. After my pursuit of a traditional college path went awry and a stint living in a parking garage, I found myself reconnecting with nature at age 20, and now I'm tackling the AT and Ireland's portion of the IAT in 2020 as a means to grow as a man lover of the natural world. I will be raising money for Thorn, an angelic nonprofit devoted to keeping children safe in a dangerous online world, along the way, and I hope to contribute to their cause in some meaningful manner.
