Many a’hiker trash dream of completing the triple crown of backpacking, to hike the Appalachian, Pacific Crest, and Continental Divide Trail. Doing this in a single year is almost unheard of. This is exactly what Jeffrey “Legend” Garmire accomplished in 2016.
In this episode, we go down the rabbit hole learning everything that went into Legend’s Calendar Triple including daily mileage, toughest days on trail, gear used, and best stories from the adventure. He also talks about his Pacific Northwest Trail thru-hike and conquering all of the 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado.
