Hogpen Gap to Low Gap Shelter miles 4.8- AT mile 43
Card of the day – Justice
After a successful trip to the town of Helen to celebrate St Patrick’s Day, we got back to the trail around noon. What happens in Helen stays in Helen, mostly because none of the Fellowship can really remember!
Today was all oak forests and ups and downs. It really is beautiful out here and the pics never really seem to do it justice.
Low Gap Shelter is a lovely little campsite and we soon had a fire going. There were some new hikers and some familiar faces.
As a reward for our efforts, we have all packed out a few beers so that was a nice afternoon treat.
Tonight is going to be cold, like -2c cold. I am not looking forward to that.
I grabbed dinner about 5:00 and hit my tent. Fingers crossed I have enough layers!
