Mile 400 today and one month on trail! Kevin had another amazing breakfast at the hostel and I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee while I are my granola bars. The hiking today still had decent elevation gain (about 4300 ft) but there were no huge climbs. No huge climbs mean no crazy mountain views but that’s okay because the woods were beautiful today. We saw three waterfalls and were along a river and it didn’t rain on us! We ran into a lot of people slack packing south back to the hostel that we saw there last night. Unfortunately, they didn’t do the food truck last night and we all ordered Mexican and they only gave Kevin and I one order of steak fajitas when I asked for 2. The trail provided though and a kind man shared his with Kevin and I also shared mine with Kevin. The last 5 miles today out of no where my right shin at the base of my leg started to hurt real bad. I’ll be doing some stretches and taking ibuprofen tonight. Hoping the rain stays away!
