Hey check this out… A new blogger!

Let’s just skip over the obligatory introduction part and get right to the right now part.  Maybe I’ll give you guys some well placed flashbacks as the story develops to explain things (like an episode of LOST, but better… probably less cryptic… or maybe not).  I haven’t decided whether this will be an adventure tale, or a mystery/action/drama, perhaps it could even become a heartfelt coming of age story. (Or am I too old for that?)  But I am forever grateful for the opportunity to share it with all of you! – Thank you Zach Davis

I have spent the last 7 months shopping, planning, and explaining to everyone I know, and loads of people I don’t, what I am preparing to do.  So my lease is up on July 31 and I am moving to Yosemite National Park on August 11 to work and live (and take advantage of 800+ miles of hiking trails) for the next 6 months, until February 2015, when I will come back to Little Rock, AR just in time to pack my maildrops and hop a Greyhound bus to Georgia.  I feel like this will be the perfect transition from my former life as girl-who-does-mysterious-health-insurance-job, to my next one as girl-who-lives-in-the-woods-(and-blogs-about-it).  It also means that for the next 6 months I can share something cooler than a gear list and some FBC recipes.  (Not that those things aren’t cool, and yes, I will absolutely share them.)
