The Perseids Meteor shower is happening right now! The Perseids Meteor shower is an annual light show that will be peaking on August 11-12, but you can still view the prelude of meteors building up to it days before. – According to NASA, the meteor shower will be unique this year due to the “outburst effect.” – It is predicted that there will be up to 200 meteors streaking across the night sky each hour under perfect conditions. – How do you find this you ask? Well, just go to a place with dark skies away from major cities and look up after the moon has set. – The meteors will be originating from the constellation of Perseus. – So for my fellow photographers on trail; you’ll need a tripod or something similar. If you have the Perseus constellation in your composition, you will have captured the radiant!
