It’s amazing after climbing hundreds and hundreds of mountains this summer I can name just about any of them from a picture. Well, this mountain isn’t one of them, but I sure do remember the climb! Second straight day of rain and 4 straight hours of climbing it was pretty disappointing to have the view from the fire tower whited out. One of the life lesson the Appalachian Trail taught me is that some mountains you remember for the view at the top and others it’s the climb that got you to the top. ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ #appalachiantrials #appalachiantrail #sonyalphasclub #sonyA7 #sonyimages #sonyalpha #thruhike #at2016 #appalachiantrail2016 #campvibes #rei1440project #optoutside #backpacking #wildernessculture #exploremore #travelstoke #georgiatomaine #getoutstayout #awakethesoul #goatworthy #choosemountains #takeahike #adventureanywhere #goexplore #bpmag #campingcollective #vsco #takemebackpacking #vermont #hikevermont

New Hampshire; where the climbs are never ending and the views are endless. I would rather climb every mountain in the whites over and over for the rest of eternity than go back to work. Sadly, my time of being a professional dirtbag is over. For now… Shot on the #sonya6000 right before the Whites. #thruhikesyndicate #at2016 #thegreatoutdoors #appalachiantrials #appalachiantrail #theoutbound #rei1440project #adventureanywhere #optoutside #wellhiked #vasqueview #liveauthentic #livefolk #livelifeproof #sonyimages #sonyalpha #ospreypacks #lekipoles #darntough #nemoequipment #vasquefootwear #getoutstayout #bpmag #backpacking #keepitwild #choosemountains #backpackermag #questionmadness #landscapephotography

We have 40 miles left in VT. We were on track to finish the state just in time to go home for a Thanksgiving break. But with the snow storm in the forecast, we decided to head a little south to Dalton MA where the storm is supposed to be a little more friendly. We’re going to spend the next few days finishing up the section in MA we have left. (We hiked most of MA in May!) Hopefully we’ll have waterproof boots and a little better weather after Thanksgiving to finish up VT…otherwise we’ll have to move on to keep moving forward to Virginia! This photo is from Dalton MA this morning! We drove down last night before the rain and snow started.
