The Path

Something is calling me

A call when I am still

Something is calling me

What does it want

I see trees and hills

Bodies near and far

Dimly now

A path appears

Something is calling me

Could it be the wind

Something is calling me

Whispering in my ear

The path appears and disappears in a mist

Could it be a destination that calls

The path seems clear with eyes closed

Must I surrender to see it clear

Something is calling me

A path I’m sure

Something is calling me

Can I step onto it not knowing the end

To let go is to leave all that is familiar

I am afraid

Will it ask too much of me

I am afraid

Something is calling me

No pain no gain

Something is calling me

It knows my name

The path seems to stretch on forever

Life is a path

What is at the end

If not a destination-what

Something is calling me

There is a beginning

Something is calling me

There is an end

I have lost my will

No longer look back

Take that step

Into the unknown

Something is calling me

The mist is gone

Something is calling me

A weight has left my chest

To reach the end means nothing

The next step is all

To become one with the journey is the task

I am light on my feet

Something is calling me

No win no lose

Something is calling me

Just a path stretching on ahead
