It’s approaching summer on the Appalachian Trail and Instagram abounds with thru-hikers blessing our feeds with the good stuff. Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the most spectacularly beautiful, hilariously entertaining, and all-around best photos taken on the Appalachian Trail this past week.

5/9/2019 AT Day 44: 11.6 miles Queens Knob Shelter to Damascus, VA Left the emergency shelter with our eyes on Virginia. Went all day without water. Finally made it out Tennessee and into Virginia. Another state down! We made our way into Damascus and found ourselves at the Damascus Diner stuffing our faces with as much food as we could fit. After the diner we resupplied, bought some drinks and hung out by the creek for a few hours. Then we went to a friend of a friends house where they allowed eight of us to set up camp in their backyard. They also fixed us spaghetti for dinner that was delicious! #thruhike #atthruhike #atclassof2019 #appalachiantrail #walktoendalz #thetrek #trektheat

A couple more from Saturday with Freight Train aka Kevin in Pawling, NY. This Vancouver native hit the trail on April 3rd and with an about 25 mile per day pace hopes to complete his NOBO thru-hike in early July. Have a great trek! ? Have you ever wondered what a zero day looks like for a thru hiker?? ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Well here it is.. notice the insane amount of snack food, ill fitting laundry clothes, and the general attitude of laziness. After a couple days of undesirable weather we decided to park ourselves at the Front Royal Terrapin Hostel for a nero and zero. Today It’s sunny and we’re excited to get back out there?. We are SO close to 1000 miles and Harpers Ferry y’all!! I CAN’T WAIT?? . . . #AppalachianTrail #TrekTheAT #AT2019 #thruhike #backpacking #thetrek #camping #greatoutdoorprovisioncompany #longdistancehike #adventurecouple #youtuber #optoutside #appalachiantrailvlog #appalachiantrail2019 #hike #longtrail #womenwhohike #thruhike2019 #thruhiking #backpackingcouple #travelcouple #adventurecouple #appalachianmountains #mountains #hikingcouple #travel #hikertrash
