George

I have just turned 60 and am attempting to retire a little early. My youngest son, Ian, is 22 and will finish college this coming spring. He and I are going to thru-hike the AT southbound in 2015 leaving May 23rd. This has been something that has interested Ian since high school. I have realized that it's not going to get any easier as time passes and this looks like an ideal time to start an adventure. Ian has agreed to help me with the blog, so this will be our story - from preparation to (hopefully) standing on Springer Mountain sometime in November next year.
