Meet the 2018 Badger Sponsorship Winners!

At the beginning of this month, we unveiled the 2018 Badger Sponsorship, where a handful of aspiring thru-hikers would win some high quality gear, food, and resources, including a grand prize of

Contestants were asked to create a 90-second video explaining why they should be chosen as this year’s Badger Sponsorship victor. Winners would be determined by a combination of reader vote and our expert panel- a 30/70 valuation from each category, respectively.

We received 108 very quality entries, which we then painstakingly narrowed down to just 12.  Now we unveil this year’s top finishers.

But first, I want to again pass along a sincere congratulations to ALL who entered this year’s contest. Standing in front of a camera and asking Internet strangers to listen to your story takes bravado.  This courage will most definitely translate to triumph on the trail.

I totally enjoyed being a Trek Blogger in 2017 on the AT. I’m planning my next adventure for 2019 as I will hike the PCT. I’d love to blog again next year or even this year as I prepare!
