Truth Be Told …
As I covered in yesterday’s post, I completed the OHT — FKOHT … if you’re the picky type; prepared a dinner of “random grains”; repacked everything into my back … and called for a Lyft back to Key Largo. Wah wah.
I have a feeling I’ll never get out of the keys. It’s my personal Groundhog Day hellscape, sans Andie McDowell.
Why?
I slept a mere 2 blocks north of where I slept the night before. In a real sense, over a period of 24 hours, I advanced 2 blocks. Oy veh!
Well, it’s not all so bad. This is the view I awoke to.
While I’d love to stay here, swim in the pool, work on my tan, and oggle bikini-clad snowbirds who’re visiting for the week, it’s not in the cards. Not for me, at least.
My adventure lies ahead. FarOut’s descriptions of the upcoming FTC (Florida Trail Connector) sounds inviting.
