Chaunce’s AT Vlog #04: Hiawassee – Franklin
In this trail update, I leave Top of Georgia Hiker Hostel dark-and-early to hopefully get a spot in the shelter tonight. We logged a lot of miles in damp, foggy weather before making it to camp at 11 AM. We slept in a shelter for the first time!
The next day, the sun was shining and the weather was pretty warm. Twenty-one miles later, we made it into a fire tower with panoramic views before setting up camp for the night.
This video marks my one-week anniversary on the trail! I celebrate by making my way into Franklin to resupply and find some good food.
