Day 38-41

Day 38

Did 17 miles today! It was a nice campsite the privy had no walls! Man, my feet and socks smell soooo bad! Like really, really bad lol! I kept telling my husband, like you need to smell this! I told him I could just put them in a plastic bag and send them home so he could! He denied! He said, “Sammi I don’t want to smell your feet even when they are clean.” Hahaha! I just keep laughing because how horrible would that be if I just sent those socks home! And be like babe could you put those up for me. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ He would burn them.

Nothing too exciting happened on this day.

Day 39

Garmin and I did eight-ish miles into town. We met these awesome section hikers Frosty and Orono. They were car hopping and walking south bound. So I saw them three days in a row, and they were staying in the same town. I was like you wanna go out to eat! And we met at the restaurant that night. We were in Salisbury CT, and that place is fancy! And I smelt so bad. Nine days no shower bad! Feet stinking it’s been hot, not good! So I walk into this 4-star hotel, and this guy just cut me. He acted like he didn’t see me at all lol. I was like well than! Ok, whatever. I got my $15 sandwich and went on. That was the only place I felt like someone was like ewww what are you? I have holes in my shirt also๐Ÿ˜‚. Ohhh good times!

Day 40

Zero day whoop whoop! Garmin went on and I decided to stay. I had a blast exploring that cute little boujie town all by myself. I’ve come to notice, I do like my alone time. I kind of like being a loner sometimes, but who doesn’t, right?

Day 41

Fourteen-ish miles to Themlock shelter. It got down to 38 degrees. Today was a little rough terrain. But, it was fun, I felt like a mountain goat! The views were amazing! Weather has been pretty good!

I needed a chuckle this morning and your entries provided!! I would totally mail my socks home as a joke. I think my wife would probably toss and not even touch the box with a 10′ pole! Shoot! she doesn’t even get near me on day hikes if she can help it! Enjoy your travels, hon!
