Preparing For Launch

As of yesterday I am five weeks away from setting flight to the AT! Very exciting, invigorating, and quite scary all at the same time! I’m sure fellow potential and former thru hikers preparing can agree and give testimony to this. In the last few weeks you have seems like you have kinda forever before it actually happens and you have to leave, but it actually is passing by pretty fast. In counting the days I realize how fast it has come. I’ve already had to say goodbye to some great and lifelong friends of mine that won’t see me again until I come back. That’s when it really sank in the feeling of I’m actually leaving and how it’s going to feel when I go.

We had to play our favorite game before I left

Leading up to this all I’ve realized in the short time I’ve told people and set my heart to this adventure, how much support I’ve had and means to me. Between family and friends and even people I just met giving me so much encouragement and support to do this it’s been simply humbling! I’m very thankful for what Jesus has taught me in this time of patience and getting prepared. Very thankful for the grace to be able to do something like this and for Him to say let’s go take a walk together and spend months in His wilderness.
I’m very excited for all of this! And I’m glad you are reading this and being apart of my journey. Please continue reading this for my stories and adventures and thank you for your support!!!
