Trail Names

You might have noticed that we have Trail Names. I am TwistTie and Kevin is Spreadsheet.

Spreadsheet

Kevin was chatting at dinner with Trig about food strategies, and in the course of the conversation described how he had organized some spreadsheets to help understand how some foods are more worth carrying than others. Trig looked a bit surprised, so I explained, “Kevin has a spreadsheet for everything!” In no time Trig declared that Kevin be called Spreadsheet. At first Kevin was unsure, but then he embraced it. After all, his spreadsheets are the result of a lot of research and hard work, and they are proving to be most valuable!

TwistTie

I saved a twist tie by tying it to the front of my hip belt, which led Bedrock to wonder if my pack needed a repair. I explained that I like to save twist ties because they are handy, light, and free. You never know when you might need one, and a resourceful person likes to collect them. Kevin suggested that I take Twist Tie as a trail name, noting that it also corresponds with how I like to do yoga stretches.
