The One With A Short Cut
Location : Key West, FL
This is US Route 1 — the first federal highway built in the United States. Initially, I believe it spanned only between Washington DC to Baltimore (etc ), and finally onto New York City, which might have been in the nation’s capital at the time.
I could walk this road home — avoiding all the intervening hilly drama, but that isn’t the adventure I set out to accomplish.
