Trail Town USA!!!
Made it to Damascus!! What an adventure it has been this far! I did some bigger miles to get here and so glad that I did. Took an unexpected zero here in this small town with a big heart ? for us thru hikers and even got an welcome as I hiked into town. Great food at the Main Street coffee shop and ice cream ? so worth going to maybe more then once or thrice… the Damascus Diner was also a great stop! Lady Di’s B&B was amazing!! She hiked the trail in 2019 and knows what hikers want and need when off trail! A must stay for sure! I also had the pleasure of meeting Sharon and John Coleman who own the Discover Damascus Store on Main Street that are truly passionate about the community and history here. I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to stop and explore this gem. Be sure to stop and enjoy before heading back on trail!! If you aren’t hiking then come and explore this place and bike the Creeper Trail. Happy Trails!! ?
