“The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time” – Friedrich Nietzsche This is one of my first “sun thru the trees” type shots. Was a great moment when I found that spot. <s> ALSO, please check out my friends @apachepine. They make incredible wooden watches. Go check them out, give them a like and a follow, and buy one of those rad watches! Don’t let me down you wonderful people. Have a great night!!

Dear Mount Tecumseh…we were not together long, and you were a bit smaller than I expected. I felt like I was just getting warmed up by the time you were done. Although I did have a nice time, I’m going to cross you off my list. 48 fish in this mountainous sea, and I still have 25 more waiting for me. #at2015 #appalachiantrials #appalachiantrailtraining #whitemountains #48fourthousandfooters

I’m aware I post a lot of pictures of nature, but this world is just too beautiful not to share. So just bear with me as this lovely season progresses. A photo posted by Rachel Hoyt (@rachelmhoyt) on

I had a great hike at Wekiwa today. I saw 3 turkeys and a few tortoises foraging. Met a gentleman from NY that has done a few sections of the Appalachian Trail and started geeking out about gear and how to cut weight. April can’t come fast enough.
